# How Do I Get Rid of Yahoo Spam?

Spam emails are among the most frustrating problems in Yahoo Mail service. In case you are receiving a lot of spam emails in your account, you can overcome the problem by following these steps:		

**Mark emails as Spam**

·         Go to the spam email in your Yahoo Mail account.

·         Once opened, you will need to click on the **Spam** option.

·         The email message will be moved to the **Spam** folder and all emails from the sender will be moved to the **Spambox** only from next time.

**Mark emails as Not Spam**

If you see any of your important emails in the **Spam** folder, you will need to mark it as **Not Spam** by following the below-mentioned instructions:

·         Go to the **Spam** folder. In case you do not see the "**Spam**" folder, you will need to click on the **More** option located below the "**Sent**" folder.

·         Next, select the unwanted email.

·         Then, you will need to select the **Not Spam** option located in the upper section of the page. The email message will be moved to your Inbox folder.

**Unsubscribe from Mailing Lists**

The **unsubscribe** option can be found located at the bottom of most subscription emails. Make sure that you unsubscribe from the email you suspect as a spam email. In case the email was moved to the spam folder in your Yahoo Mail account, Yahoo Mail will automatically disable any links to ensure the safety of your email.

In order to make things easy, you can manage active subscriptions in the **Subscriptions** view.

·         Select the **Subscriptions view** located on the left-hand side of your inbox.

·         Then, go to the mailing list you want to unsubscribe from and click on the **Unsubscribe** option.

**Additional Tips to avoid spam in the future**

·         Make sure to always avoid replying to unknown senders.

·         Always share your email address with a trustworthy individual.

·         Make sure not to reply to email subscriptions that are asking to be removed.

·         Never trust sites that claim to remove your email from spam lists.
